Guided dives across Atauro's reef shelves and drop-offs with the island's resident dive crews. Certified DMs, quality kit, small boats.

An independent island adventure crew on Timor-Leste's coral frontier. Diving and snorkel days on the world's most biodiverse reef. Whales and dolphins on the Cetacean Highway. Ridge hikes, kayak mornings, cultural tours — and we sort the boat ticket from Dili.
We're Mysaffy — a small independent adventure operator on Atauro Island, thirty kilometres and a ferry ride north of Dili. Our patch sits a five-minute walk from the reef.
In 2016, Conservation International surveyed the waters around Atauro and found the highest fish biodiversity of any reef on the planet. We're at the heart of the Coral Triangle, and the Wetar Strait in front of us is the Cetacean Highway — dolphins year-round, migratory pygmy blue whales October to December. Still mostly empty.
What we do is run the day. Diving and snorkel boats with Atauro's resident dive crews. Whale and dolphin tours on the strait. Ridge hikes up Mount Manucoco. Kayak and paddleboard mornings. Cultural walks to the inland villages and the Maquili weavers. The bar is open every evening, with full restaurant service following in a later phase.
One enquiry. One quote. We bundle the activities, sort the boat ticket from Dili, and meet you at the pier.
Construction on our base camp starts May 2026 — we're taking enquiries now for the 2026/2027 season. Until then we run day trips and packages with our partner crews. Tell us your dates.

“Atauro's reefs hold the highest fish biodiversity of any reef on the planet.”
Tours, diving, and everything that gets you onto, into, or above the water — plus the land side: ridge hikes, cultural walks, and a bar at the end of it.

“Three kilometres of coral. No crowds. Just the boat, the bar, and the bay.”
Atauro is year-round. What you'll do depends on the month.
Dry season. Sunny every day, hot. Best for ridge hikes up Mount Manucoco, village tours, and long days on the deck.
Whale season. Dolphins, orca, and migratory pygmy blue whales cross the Wetar Strait. The best operators fill two years ahead.
Wet season. Humidity up, winds drop. Glass-flat seas and the best visibility of the year — prime diving and snorkel.
18 July — Betel Nut Festival at Biqueli. 20 July — Sae Bua cultural ceremony at Makadade. Both on Atauro, both worth planning around.
Atauro sits about 30 km north of Dili, across the deep Wetar Strait. Every package includes your boat ticket and pickup at the pier — you don't queue, you don't haggle, you don't worry. Tell us your arrival day and we'll book the right crossing for your group.
Fast ferry: roughly 60 minutes from Dili, most mornings. The easiest option.
Local ferry (Nakroma): Saturday morning from Dili port, about 3 hours. Cheap, slow, beautiful.
Private charter: we can arrange a speedboat — best if your dates don't line up with the public schedule, or you're a group of six or more.
Travelling in whale season (Oct–Dec)? Book early — boats fill fast and the best dates are spoken for months ahead.

For the 1,000-metre ridge rising behind us and how to hike it, read about Mount Manucoco. For what crosses the Wetar Strait between October and December — dolphins, orca, and migratory pygmy blue whales — read the whale-season guide.
Pick a package, build your own, or just message us with what you're up for. We'll quote you direct — boat ticket, activities, guides, the lot. No surprise fees, no middlemen.
Small operation, small team — you'll get a real reply, usually within a day. Fastest is WhatsApp.
